Terms of Service

Last updated:

Terms for using SameHook's creative tools, accounts, preview credits, and monthly subscriptions.

These Terms of Service govern your use of SameHook (the "Service") at www.samehook.com. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

What SameHook provides

SameHook helps you turn advertising references and product inputs into editable structure cards, scripts, and preview storyboards. Previews may contain placeholder frames; they are planning materials, not finished video productions. Optional AI features assist with creative text.

You are responsible for reviewing outputs before publication. We do not guarantee accuracy, uniqueness, advertising performance, acceptance by an advertising platform, or that generated material is suitable for a particular campaign.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to agree to these Terms and meet any applicable age or consent requirements. If you use SameHook for an organization, you must have authority to act for it.

Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and notify us of suspected unauthorized use. Email registration requires verification; Google and GitHub sign-in are available when configured. Accounts using the same email are not automatically merged across different sign-in methods.

Your content and outputs

You retain your rights in the content you supply. You grant SameHook the limited rights needed to receive, process, and display that content to provide the features you request, including sending creative inputs to configured AI providers when those features are enabled.

You must have the rights and permissions needed for reference links, images, videos, trademarks, claims, and personal information you provide. Using an ad as a reference does not grant permission to copy protected material or impersonate its creator. You are responsible for the legality of your inputs and published outputs.

We do not claim ownership of your inputs. Generated outputs may resemble outputs provided to others and may not qualify for intellectual property protection. Your use of outputs remains subject to applicable law and third-party rights.

Acceptable use

  • Do not submit illegal, infringing, deceptive, abusive, or malicious material, or content that violates another person's privacy.
  • Do not bypass authentication, credit limits, payment checks, rate limits, or other access controls, or attempt to access another user's data.
  • Do not interfere with the service, introduce malware, or use it for unauthorized scraping or other activity that harms users or infrastructure.
  • Follow the applicable rules of the advertising platforms and other services where you use your outputs.

Plans, payments, and preview credits

Payments are processed through Stripe. Review the price, billing interval, and any taxes or adjustments shown at checkout before confirming a purchase. The current plans are:

  • Free: 5 initial preview credits.
  • Creator: USD $19 per month, with 40 preview credits for each successfully paid billing period.
  • Pro: USD $49 per month, with 150 preview credits for each successfully paid billing period.

How credits are used

One accepted preview generation uses one credit, including a preview produced with the built-in fallback when AI assistance is unavailable. Credits measure generation use, not a guarantee of a particular creative result. If generation fails or you believe usage was charged incorrectly, contact support; the application does not provide an automatic credit refund for every failure.

Monthly plan credits reset after a successful renewal. Unused monthly credits do not accumulate into the next period and are no longer available when the paid entitlement ends. Credits have no cash value and are not transferable. New one-time credit packs are not offered; any previously purchased credit balance remains separate from monthly plan credits.

Renewal, plan changes, and cancellation

Paid plans renew automatically each month until canceled. You authorize recurring charges at the price and interval disclosed at checkout. If payment fails or a subscription is no longer active, paid-plan access may be suspended or ended.

Use the customer billing portal from your account to view invoices, update payment details, change plans, or cancel renewal. Under the current portal configuration, Creator and Pro changes take effect immediately with prorated billing and retain the billing cycle. Additional upgrade credits become available after the relevant invoice is paid; changing plans does not reset credits already used in that period.

Cancel renewal before the next billing date to avoid the next recurring charge. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period, and current-period access remains available until then. Signing out, revoking Google or GitHub access, or simply stopping use does not cancel billing. If the portal is unavailable, contact support before your renewal date.

Refunds and billing questions

Canceling renewal does not itself trigger a refund of the current period. For refund requests, duplicate charges, or billing errors, contact support@samehook.com with the account email and invoice reference. Do not send full card details. Requests are handled according to the terms shown at purchase and applicable law; mandatory consumer cancellation and refund rights remain unaffected.

Third-party services and privacy

SameHook uses third-party services for sign-in, hosting, databases, email, payments, analytics, and optional AI processing. Their availability and applicable terms may affect the features they provide. Links to third-party content do not imply that we own it or endorse it.

Our Privacy Policy describes the information processed by SameHook and its service providers and how to make privacy requests.

Service availability and responsibility

We may maintain, update, or change the service and may suspend access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security issues, or violations of these Terms. Where required, we will provide notice of material changes to paid services and preserve applicable remedies.

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not responsible for indirect losses from use of the service to the extent such liability may lawfully be excluded. These provisions do not exclude liability or consumer protections that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

Ending use and changes to these Terms

You may stop using SameHook at any time. Cancel any active subscription separately and contact support@samehook.com if you want to request account deletion. Obligations relating to outstanding payments, content rights, and matters that by their nature continue after use ends will survive.

We may revise these Terms and will update the date on this page. We will provide additional notice or request agreement where required for material changes. Applicable mandatory law continues to govern your rights; these Terms do not require you to waive access to a competent court or regulator.
